Why choose DIY and not buy your decoration at the store ?

Instead of putting them in the trash, we collect them while creating new decorative or practical objects. On the other hand, DIY costs three times nothing. Instead of investing money, we save money. And then there is also the creative part which is really important and cool. By making your own decor, we let our imagination speak and we learn new things. Organizing a creative weekend with your kids is a great idea, for example. In short, you understand that DIY is ecological, economical and fun.

Fall decoration idea to make yourself with pumpkin and succulents
A pumpkin garnished with succulents is a centerpiece and unique of its kind and a decoration rich in color. It is possible to make this autumn decoration to make yourself with all kinds of plants and flowers and even dry or paper flowers. This decoration can last several months. To do this, you will need the following tools:
- hot glue gun
- sphagnum moss
- scissors
- succulents of various shapes and sizes
- bottle of water
We start by cutting the succulents. Then they are left aside for the stems to dry. This step is important because otherwise they may rot quite quickly. Indeed, the realization of this project is very similar to that of a vegetal painting..
Let the glue gun heat up, then randomly apply glue to the top of the pumpkin. Add the sphagnum moss on top. Apply glue to the succulents and press them onto the foam for a few seconds. Larger and heavier succulents should be placed in the middle of the pumpkin next to the stem. Succulents are some of the hardiest plants. You can put them inside as well as outside.

Autumn decoration idea to make yourself and original with pumpkin and decoupage
Another original way to decorate an object is the decoupage technique. You can use it for pumpkin decoration, for example. To create one of the pretty pumpkins in the photo below, you will need:
- pumpkin (real or fake)
- colored paper with patterns
- Mod Podge glue transparent
- scissors
- brush
First, measure how much paper you will need based on the size of the pumpkin you choose. Cut the paper to the appropriate size. Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge glue to the back of the paper using the brush. Then glue the paper on the pumpkin. Cut the slits at the top and bottom to prevent the paper from wrinkling around the curves. Apply a second coat of glue to the paper already attached to the pumpkin. Let dry.
You can also create a lantern with cutout like the one in the photo below. What is beautiful, no ?
The pumpkin: perfect to decorate, delicious to eat
Perhaps one of the greatest symbols of fall (and of the Halloween party) is the pumpkin. It is part of almost any interior or exterior fall decor. You can create a lantern, a planter (as we saw earlier) from it, or you can just leave it as it is. It all depends on your desires and the time you have at your disposal. There are also several pumpkin decoration projects that do not require a lot of effort. We can paint it, we can glue paper bat eagles or we can draw cat eyes and small mustaches on it.
